Rainbow Six Siege players are, yet again, bumping into the title’s shield glitch. The issue, which has occurred in the past and been subsequently squashed, affects a number of defensive Operators.
This time, the Rainbow Six Siege shield glitch is also accompanied by another bug which allows Operators such as Clash to shoot their weapons through their shields while holding them up.
Rainbow Six Siege Shield Glitch
The Rainbow Six Siege shield glitch makes it so that the shield covers the entirety of a character’s head and, if crouched, renders them invulnerable. Moreso, as pointed out on Reddit, affected players can still see through the shield.
The companion bug to the Rainbow Six Siege shield glitch also involves shield-wielding operators, allowing them to shoot while holding their shields up.
While both of these bugs can be easily abused, the good news is that Ubisoft is aware and working towards solving both of them. This was confirmed by Community Representative WildWatermelon over on the Rainbow Six Siege Reddit. Hopefully, it won’t take long for things to return back to normal.
