What are the best Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon cheats? The huge open-world action-RPG inspired by Arthurian legends is finally out of early access, and if you’ve been struggling with certain encounters or simply want the ability to tinker with its systems, we’ve collected several cheat mods here.
We’ve separated the mods into two categories: those that are like Console Commands and those that behave and are used in a more traditional Cheat Mods fashion. Mind you, almost every mod released so far for the game requires additional tools to work correctly (or at all), so make sure you go through the descriptions and set everything up correctly before jumping into the game.
It must also be underlined that you should back up your saves before attempting to tinker with the game or use cheats. Unexpected behavior is possible, especially if we consider that the modding scene of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon is still in its infancy.
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon Console Commands
So far, we’ve only found two mods that allow players to use a developer console-like interface to cheat in the game in the weird absence of a regular console.
Cheat Table Game Debug Menu
The first option is NateHentile’s mod, which uses the latest version of Cheat Engine to work, so make sure you download and install it first.
It uses a “Cheat Engine table to force the activation of the debug menu” and lets players modify stats, items, XP gains, gold, and whatnot. We highly recommend going through the installation instructions.
Cheat Console Enabler
The (seemingly) more straightforward alternative is KZekai’s mod, which uses BepinEx (a mod framework for the game) to inject a similar cheat console into the game.
It comes with hotkeys and easy instructions, but some users are reporting erratic behavior, so you might want to look at the comments on the mod in order to deal with any problems. It includes features such as gaining HP, altering the max HP, immortality, noclip, and invisibility, among others.
Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon Cheat Mods
The following mods don’t require in-game console tinkering or at least keep it to a minimum. They’re also different in that they target more specific aspects of the game that players may want to change without gaining the ability to cheat through the whole experience. We’ve collected five handy ones so far, but we plan to keep this list updated.
Item Weight Control
This mod by jondnoj allows players to remove weight from as many items as they want. There’s a default setting and the ability to quickly roll back to vanilla values, but players can also run custom settings; for example, you might want to remove weight from crafting materials but not everything else.
BepinEx is required, so make sure you install it first.
Higher Summon Limit
jondnoj has also put out a mod which boosts the limit of summoned units you can have at once up to 10. That’s the default setting though; you can push it higher at your own risk.
Again, BepinEx is required, and the author warns that changes stick even after removing the mod due to how save files work, so make sure you’ve figured out what you want before committing to the change.
Fall Damage Control
jondnoj also has a mod which allows players to control fall damage (or remove it entirely). There’s a recommended default setting, but it allows the user to find the value that works best for them.
BepinEx is needed, and permanent changes might happen if you don’t follow the instructions closely.
No Fast Travel Cost
Fast travel isn’t exactly free in Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon, so jondnoj has put out a simple mod which changes this too. It simply allows players to travel across the map without spending Ethereal Cobwebs.
Of course, BepinEx is needed as a pre-install.
No Item Requirements
Izegod2 has worked on a similar mod to the ones we’ve shared above. It targets item requirements, which translates into being able to equip everything and enjoy all effects no matter your level and stats. If you want to experiment with completely broken builds, this is the go-to mod right now.
BepinEx is required, as it seems 90% of Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon’s modding will be built on top of it.
