If you find yourself craving intense grimdark-themed pixelated chaos, you’ll be happy to hear that Boltgun developer Auroch Digital has just announced Warhammer Survivors, a fast-paced rogue-like survivors game that lets us take on the role of heroes from two popular Games Workshop’s universes.
Developed in partnership with genre architect poncle and part of the “official Survivors lineage”, the title pits us against endless swarms of enemies while promising “fresh twists, iconic characters, and powerful weapons.”
Warhammer Survivors Releases in 2026
Warhammer Survivors lets pick heroes and obliterate baddies from both the Warhammer 40,000 and Warhammer Age of Sigmar universes while combining weapons and power-ups “to create screen-clearing storms of bullets, blades and magic”
Each new run is an opportunity to discover new strategies, unlock new characters, upgrades, weapon combinations, and bump into a multitude of secrets and collectibles. The Boltgun, Astartes Chainsword, and Whirlwind Axes are confirmed to make an appearance alongside many others.
40K enthusiasts can take on the role of Malum Caedo, who you may have helped vanquish the Emperor’s enemies in Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, as he wages war upon swarms of horrifying Tyranids. He is joined by the Cadian Shock Trooper, Trooper Kozlowski, as well as the Space Marine Intercessor, Brother Luca.
If you’d rather have your pixelated slaughter tapping into fantasy energies, the Age of Sigmar section leads with Neave Blacktalon, warrior of the God-King Sigmar, who uses violence to discuss important matters with the local Skaven. Renowned monster-slayer Gotrek Gurnisson and Stormcast Eternal Vanquisher Sharynn Azurwrath are also part of Warhammer Survivors’ roster.
These are just some of the heroes we’ll get to play as and enemy factions we’ll face off against when Warhammer Survivors launches in 2026 on PC. The game’s Steam page is now live, so you can follow and wishlist it ahead of its launch.
