Stormind Games has just announced the first two entries in the Remothered series, Tormented Fathers and Broken Porcelain, are being remastered in Unreal Engine 5 for PC and all current-gen consoles.
The survival horror series continues later this year with Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, but before that, the Italian studio Stormind Games had a couple of surprises up its sleeve. Players will now be able to enjoy the two previous entries with “major visual and technical improvements” while the original gameplay is preserved. Moreover, these remastered editions mark the debut of both games on current-gen consoles, including Nintendo Switch 2.
Via the press release, it was revealed the Remastered editions will feature:
- Upgrade to Unreal Engine 5
- More realistic lighting powered by Lumen technology
- Richer, more detailed environments with 4K textures and Nanite technology
- Enhanced character models
- Redesigned user interface and menus
- Updated cinematic sequences built to modern production standards
- Fixes for legacy bugs found in the original releases
- Overall improvements to stability and gameplay quality
“Remothered is a franchise we continue to deeply believe in. After confirming that a new chapter will arrive later this year, these Remastered editions represent another step in our commitment to this universe and to the community that has supported it over the years. We want to keep strengthening the franchise by honoring its past while building its future,” said Antonio Cannata, CEO & Co-Founder of Stormind Games.
More details, including release and pricing details will be revealed in the coming months. Logically, we’re expecting Remothered: Tormented Fathers Remastered and Remothered: Broken Porcelain Remastered to launch in 2026 and before Red Nun’s Legacy, but that’s just a guess at this point.
