Unfortunately THQ has decided it best to delay the release of Volition's Red Faction: Guerrilla and Vigil's Darksiders: Wrath of War, possibly up to March 2010. There's no exact reason that's be given for why and THQ has now altered their figures to reflect the loss of the two in this year's fiscal books. It's likely they want more polish.

A single slide from February's investor presentation has let slip the publishers huge confidence in their 2009 lineup, sequels ahoy for 2011/12. While the release window isn't concrete, it does seem these properties won't be catching their breath for long. It also notes Saints Row 3 sometime before March 31st, 2011.
Red Faction Guerrilla has publisher THQ all tingly, but so do other pipeline products for this year - MX versus ATV, Darksiders and WWE Smackdown Versus Raw 2010. They're "excited to launch" another MX versus ATV this fiscal, the franchise has sold over 7.5m units. This line-up proves THQ commitment to "high quality entertainment" they say.
THQ today announced that its action adventure title DarkSiders, from Vigil Games, will release in the UK on 8th January, 2010 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Featuring the unique art style of legendary comic book artist Joe Madureira, Darksiders puts players in the role of War, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. Gamers will explore a world set 100 years after the biblical Apocalypse, traveling through expansive dungeons, battling demons and angels and striking deals with unsavory characters in an epic quest to restore the balance between Heaven and Hell.
THQ has sent over a new trailer for Darksiders: Wrath of War entitled "Hellbook 2". The trailer features gameplay footage of War using his "Chaos Eater" sword and other weapons to defeat various enemies. Darksiders: Wrath of War releases for PS3 and Xbox 360 in January.
It's not even out the door yet and already Hollywood want to plunder its riches, though it's "really a THQ thing" and not developer Vigil's doing. Joe Madureira is creative director at Vigil, and says he'd be "surprised" if nothing came of it. Darksiders is out this week for Xbox 360 and PS3.
Vigil Games' Joe Madureira, creative boss, has said they have an "all-or-nothing mentality" at the studio - multiplayer would have been too much. Madureira also says "most game stories stink," and we have a long way to go as an industry. There is to be no DLC released either.
Joe Mad of developer Vigil has eased our fears, or at least those who've got Darksiders for Xbox 360, because a patch is soon on its way. Right now it suffers from quite a bit of screen tearing, but it's not hard to fix. Madureira reckons it'll be here "really soon" so don't panic.
THQ has announced that a patch for the screen tearing issue experienced by some gamers of the Xbox 360 version of Darksiders will be released on Wednesday at around 2am PST. The download will start automatically when you login to Xbox Live and launch Darksiders.
