The fact that the game is still running and being supported even now is seriously impressive. The three founders of the original RuneScape – Andrew, Paul and Ian Gower are coming back to the world they created to introduce a brand new quest. Gower Quest is a free-to-play quest that takes players through cabbage fields and beyond. Chronicle: RuneScape Legends will arrive on Steam on May 26th. In addition to this news, Jagex have also announced players who participate in the game’s open beta between now and Sunday (May 15th) will receive three free card packs. RuneScape's Evil Twin Launches News

Yesterday, RuneScape developer Jagex announced and launched DarkScape, a free to play "experimental sandbox MMO." In the trailer below, Jagex outline a game set in the same world as RuneScape but with an anything goes, kill or be killed PvP twist. Apparently DarkScape focuses on high risk trade routes between three regions, each with their own economy and fragile player alliances. Players can murder each other at will and DarkScape should make for some interesting player interaction or turn into a griefer's paradise.

Teenage MMO RuneScape, which is a pimply 14-years-old now, has just been updated with the new world of Mazcab. It's accessible through a portal and sports both solo and 10-player raid mayhem. The Nemi Forest will actually shift over time opening up new procedurally generated paths. There's also PvP Dungeons and Dragons as supplies can be ferried between two settlements. Level 90 armour is available for all combat styles.

MMO RuneScape will be charging more for subscriptions soon for new members, while those already subscribed will stick with their current billing, unless you stop paying for more than 14 days. Developer Jagex Games is offering a Premier Club from December 1st which offers to "lock in" membership as well as a "massive pack of rewards". The price rise is in Q1 2015.

Developer Jagex are preparing a huge 'evolution' to RuneScape as they announce their Evolution of Combat project, which is the "biggest change" to a RuneScape system to date.
