The upcoming content creator for Grand Theft Auto Online has been discovered among the game files and accessed ahead of time. Footage has appeared, from the same person who found the audio files. New races and death matches were creatable but it's 'unfinished', they report, acknowledging their version is different from the updated Content Creator. Obviously this is all 'work in progress'.

More adventures as Michael, Franklin and Trevor are on the way as Rockstar Games tease "big things" for 2014 for both Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online. There will be "substantial additions" to Story mode. Los Santos and Blaine County has plenty of room for more adventures, including whole set pieces left untouched by the game's campaign like the prison and casino.
Rockstar has released the content editor for Grand Theft Auto V's online mode, giving players the tools used by the dev team to create their own customized matches.
Once again EA Sports has lead the kick-off for the UK chart in an all-new year as FIFA 14 achieved its 6th week as number one. FIFA 13 managed the same thing week one last year, with 21% less sales. Call of Duty: Ghosts was 2nd followed by Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag 3rd. Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto V remains strong 4th, and could become the biggest selling game in the UK.
While Microsoft's Games for Windows Live client is in its death rows there are many futures left uncertain, like all those GFWL infested games still out there. What becomes of them once the beast is slain? A list has been compiled by Joystiq on what's happening with various titles by publishers and studios. The future is bright for some, not so blinding for others.
Will Rockstar Games bring Grand Theft Auto V to PC? The official stance is 'maybe', but a leaked bug report from Rockstar clearly mentions they're crunching through PC bugs and glitches. A 150-page report has allegedly slipped out of the office and cites PC-related mishaps. 32-bit, 64-bit and DirectX 11 are all name dropped by known Rockstar devs.
In not-so-shocking-it's-shocking news, Grand Theft Auto V has been listed for release on PC by none other than Amazon. Well, alright, by their French and German websites but that still counts. While Amazon France may have browned their trousers removed the listing, Amazon Germany remains stoic by keeping theirs up. There are rumours a March release is in store.
According to a store manager at Nordic retailer Elgiganten, a subsidiary of Dixons Retail UK, a pre-order program will commence for PC Grand Theft Auto V this week; Friday to be more specific. Amazon France and Germany have already been caught with PC listings for GTA V, so things appear to be aligning for an announcement soon. What say you Rockstar?
Elite: Dangerous creator David Braben has said the space game became so niche because it "lost sight" of player freedom, which is something Grand Theft Auto took and ran with ever since, he argues. Elite is all about "individual choice in an open world" - just doing what you want to do at any time. A game' setting "is secondary to the feeling of freedom," continued Braben.
A new next-gen title is in the works and will be released before the current fiscal year ends for Take-Two, with the publisher noting Rockstar Games will account for 45% of their revenue in FY2015. There's no mention of what it could be except that Xbox One and PS4 releases are likely, with PC hopefully included. It's possibly the long-awaited Agent, once a PS3 exclusive.
With E3 looming over us like an ominous storm, suspicions and paranoia are high. To fuel the distrust Take-Two renewed their trademark for Rockstar's Agent just last week. Are they just holding onto it or will the Cold War-era espionage title finally emerge? Early this year Take-Two also snagged 'Hangar 13', which might be GTAV related.
After much speculation, Rockstar has finally confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 5 will indeed be released on PC and current-gen consoles this Fall. On the official Rockstar blog the developers promise "new wildlife, upgraded weather and damage effects, and an array of new details to discover."
Grand Theft Auto V was announced for PC and current-gen consoles at E3 last week, and the good chaps over at Digital Foundry have taken the time to compare the trailer for the original version of the game with its shiny new form. Things to notice: lovely grass, better lighting and hammerhead sharks.
Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima is apparently a big fan of the recently-announced enhanced versions of Grand Theft Auto V coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One. In an interview with CVG, Kojima called the GTAV next-gen trailer "super impressive", and said that when he watched it recently he "got depressed again". Poor Hideo.
Heists for GTA Online maybe the big thing current Grand Theft Auto 5 players are wanting - that, and some single-player DLC - but what of us poor PC gamers? Troubling news from Gamescom suggests that Rockstar will be keeping GTA 5 a while longer, missing the supposed late 2014 release. Apparently it was at Gamescom, but only for retailers.
Rockstar held the next-gen version of GTAV back for retailers only at Gamescom last month, sparking rumours that the much-anticipated remastered version would be delayed until 2015. After a fan questioned Rockstar regarding the delay a representative popped up to confirm that the "release date has not changed", and that the title is still planned for release this Fall on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
We keep getting little hints that the remastered PC and current-gen version of Grand Theft Auto 5 is coming this November, with the latest coming from Newegg, who briefly had it listed for a November 18 US release date. That fits with what we've heard (unofficially) from Game UK, Gem Distribution and various other retailers. It's looking like an increasingly safe bet.
It's been snooped that Rockstar Games has been making an awful lot of updates to their Grand Theft Auto 5 entry in the Steam database this past week. Several changes are being made daily. This flurry of activity comes after a month-long drought of nothing, but now something is stirring. Hopefully this points to a release date reveal just around the corner.
Rockstar Games is the bearer of good and bad news for GTA 5 fans. Firstly, the PC crowd is going to have to wait until late January before setting off for sunny Los Santos. That's the bad news. The good news is the studio has also revealed what shiny new things await the next-gen remastered GTA 5. New weapons, vehicles, activities and enhanced effects are all in.
High definition upgrades of aging games can be a fairly mixed affair, but it looks like Rockstar is pulling out the stops for Grand Theft Auto 5 on PC and current-gen consoles. A new gallery on Imgur takes images from the HD upgrade's recent released trailer and sticks them next to shots from the PS3 version. Warning: contains NSFW yoga.
