Activision Blizzard's parent company Vivendi has sold 35M shares in their stock. The rate at which the stock was sold is unknown, but it is thought to have been sold at $425M. The sale dropped Activision Blizzard's stock 4% to $12.28 per share.

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 continues to shatter records, as it has sold a tremendous $775M in 5 short days, which eclipses the records set by the previous two Call of Duty titles, Modern Warfare 2 ($550M) and Black Ops ($650).

Activision is denying reports that the company is storing Call of Duty: Elite passwords in plain text. This was suspected when various websites tested the system and were sent their Call of Duty Elite password in plain text form in an email after asking the Elite software to retrieve it. This seemed to indicate that Activision is either storing player passwords on its servers in plain text format or in some retrievable version. This, of course, raises serious red flags as it makes them vulnerable to hackers. However, Activision denies it is storing customer data unencrypted.

Activision has announced the first set of downloadable content for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. The DLC will be free for Call of Duty: Elite premium members and will be launched in January. California Superior Court Judge Elihu Berle has turned down Electronic Arts' motion to dismiss a $400M contract-interference suit brought against the company by Activision. The judge ruled that Activision had provided sufficient evidence that EA had broken the law in courting Infinity Ward founders Jason West and Vince Zampella while they were still under contract to Activision.
