The free-to-play MMO veteran RuneScape will be getting its most significant update this July 22nd as RuneScape 3 launches. Jagex promise "next generation browser technology" will fuel it. We can also expect to see new gameplay features and "heralds in ground-breaking" content that's player-driven. The MMO will be using HTML 5, which means no need for Java or other plugins.
Jagex has announced that their free-to-play MMORPG Runescape 3 has officially launched, which "marks the beginning of the Battle of Lumbridge, the first gaming experience forged by players, who will shape the future of the RuneScape world forever."
