Major Nelson has revealed the next two week's Xbox Live Marketplace content. As one might expect, digital content is light as retail releases dominate the Xbox 360 landscape. Some notable DLC includes the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Season Pass as well as content for Kinect titles Wreckateer and Fruit Ninja Kinect.
As predicted, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 sold like hotcakes during its launch, and according to GameStop president Tony Bartel, over 1M units were moved in the game's midnight launch from the retailer alone.
Downloadable content codes for some PlayStation 3 gamers aren't working for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Pre-order codes for the Nuketown 2025 and zombie maps appear broken. This is also affecting Hardened and Care Package Edition codes as well. The reason fans are so upset is because they can't access these maps ahead of the double XP session.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 design director David Vonderhaar is ready for balancing criticisms to come in. Treyarch's title has been out less than a week, and Vonderhaar knows plenty of users will lambast him with messages about unbalanced weapons when playing online.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 multiplayer is once again taking the shooter tour bus through Nuketown 2025 in a new playlist called 'Chaos Moshpit'. Sadly for purists it's not the only map.

There have been "performance improvements" for those with a 4 or more core CPU chipset. It seems those pesky CPU cores have been up to mischief; the little scamps.
The Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 just received an update. While the full patch notes have not been released yet, developer Treyarch stated that the update fixes the Theater Mode UI error 226117, an Escort Drone glitch, and a Dragonfire glitch in which the weapon doesn't deploy.

Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick has revealed the bulging bicep of Grand Theft Auto's shipping count, which has now reached 125 million units. In September 2011 it was at 114 million. The ever increasing sales of GTA for each new release is down to 'not annualising' the franchise. For an IP "to be permanent," you need to avoid annual releases, says Zelnick.
Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 surpassed $1 billion in retail sales in just 15 days, announces Activision, after they checked Chart-Track sell-through data and internal company figures. Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 3 achieved $1 billion in 16 days, with the publishing giant pointing out that a film box office record was broken in 2009 by Avatar with $1 billion in 17 days.
Fear not Call of Duty fans, developer Treyarch will be re-enabling Theatre Mode in the next Black Ops 2 title update. You'll be able to put together your own gameplay videos once more. It was disabled after a Prestige glitch was found linked to it. The custom insignia feature of Emblems remains offline. The new update tweaks Scorestreak, UAVs and SMG penetration.
Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg has announced that according to the November 2012 US NPD sales data, the Xbox 360 was the best-selling console in November with 1.26 million units sold, which Greenberg bragged was “nearly 2x all other consoles” and more than the “Wii U+Wii combined”.

However according to NPD data for US retail, it sold less than Modern Warfare 3. Combined Xbox 360 and PS3 sales puts Modern Warfare 3 at 8.8 million copies sold during its launch month, while Black Ops 2 managed just 7.4 million. This is the blockbuster series' first decline.
Huddled together for warmth in the tundra that is the December month of UK retail sales; Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, Far Cry 3, FIFA 13 all remain frozen in place 1st, 2nd and 3rd for another week. Just Dance 4 is up 4th, while Assassin's Creed 3 is also in for a repeat performance 5th. Hitman: Absolution is now garrotting 6th, with Halo 4 7th and NFS: Most Wanted 8th.
Activision has announced that the Nuketown Zombies Bonus Map is now available for Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for Xbox 360 owners who have subscribed to to the Season Pass. The Nuketown Zombies Bonus Map will be available for other platforms at a later date.
