Indie developer Psyonix has announced in a Steam forum post that their popular "soccer-with-cars" game Rocket League will be adding color-coding for loot as well as different types of crowns for ranked players.

Psyonix has announced a new, free downloadable content pack for their car combat/sports game Rocket League for November. The DLC pack is called "Mutators", and will include classic gameplay and new power-ups. The Mutators DLC features a low-gravity "Moonball" mode, as well as game modes from the game's predecessor Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars game modes, including "Cubic" and "Time Warp”. A special playlist, "Mutator Mashup," will mix the new and old gameplay modes into a single list.

Psyonix is cooking up some free DLC to celebrate Halloween later this month, consisting of a bunch of customisation options for your Rocket League cars. "Available as post-match item drops, each Halloween item can be unlocked simply by playing matches like you normally would (win or lose!)," explains the team. "Once you've found an item, it's yours to keep forever, but if you don't find the ones you want by November 2, you'll have to wait until next year for a shot at them again."
Major videogame brick-and-mortar retailers GAME UK, GameStop, EB Games, and Valve have announced that the stores will be including special "Steam Sections" dedicated to selling Valve's upcoming hardware coming 10th November 2015. Patch 1.05 for Rocket League has gone live today, introducing an option for PC players to filter out PS4 players in multiplayer match-ups, multiple improvements and adjustments to the Utopia Coliseum arena, and the introduction of Season One Ranked play. It's by no means a colossal update, but those who want a more competitive experience from the car football game will be happy to see new Ranked Season Divisions with post-Season Division placement rewards.
Psyonix announced yesterday that Patch 1.05 for Rocket League will be ready “in two weeks or less”, and the team has also laid out what it's bringing to the game. There are a few nice convenience features; at the end of Ranked Matches you'll now be able to search for another ranked game (that maybe should have been there from the start), while PC players can now filter out PS4 players when searching for a match.
