Treyarch has released another Call of Duty: Black Ops III video guide, this time showing off the Tactical Mode. With a flick of a switch, whether it's up on the D pad or a mapped key, players can cheat with the classic WallHack mode, except this time it's a gameplay mechanic.

According to Treyarch's studio design director David Vonderhaar, Call of Duty: Black Ops III is going to have "some really screwed up mind-f---ery", with "a very deep, very dark, and sometimes really twisted narrative experience."
Activision has released a new Call of Duty: Black Ops III Cybercore video showing off another cybernetic mod that can be acquired. The previous Cybercore video showed off how to create chaos among enemy ranks, while the new Martial video has the player punching enemies in the face.
A few weeks ago, Treyarch changed the @callofduty Twitter name to "Current Events Aggregate", and live tweeted a real-life terrorist attack that took place in Singapore. The act was decried as at the very least insensitive and ill-conceived. Since then, neither Activision nor the studio have made any sort of apology, but studio campaign director Jason Blondell has addressed the issue and stated that there was no negative intent on the studio's part, and said he was personally "very sorry" about it.
Gamers won't have to play through the entire single player campaign of Call of Duty: Black Ops III to see the ending, as all of the campaign's chapters will be available the minute the player boots up the game.
While the main campaign of Call of Duty: Black Ops III is a dark techno-thriller, the zombie-infested Shadows of Evil is made of pure cheese, starring major actors including Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, and Ron Perlman.
Treyarch's recent Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 open Beta was received fairly well in terms of gameplay, but on the PC version there were numerous performance issues and some oddly laggy and unresponsive mouse movement. The developer has penned a blog post assuring PC players that these issues have been highlighted by the community, and that the development team is currently working on fixing them.
Activision has announced that it will be running Call of Duty: Black Ops III live streams every Friday at 12:00pm PT/3:00pm ET/8:00pm CET, releasing new information during each stream til the game's launch in November.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is set in a near-future Earth where absolutely everyone has a minigun or a laser-swords attached to at least one part of their body, and as if that wasn't dangerous enough they can also make use of some impressive 'Cybercore' abilities. Developer Treyarch highlights a few of these special moves in the latest trailer for the FPS' options include electro-punching robots in the head, firing swarms of tiny nano-killers at people, and setting off opponents' grenades.
Treyarch is heading back to the near-future in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, a brave new world where seemingly everybody can bolt some kind of weapon of mass destruction on to their body. This new story trailer lays out the basics of the main campaign. You'd never guess this, but it features a bunch of gruff men going on about war, sacrifice, betrayal and honour.
Cramped, chaotic deathmatch map Nuketown is something of regular feature of Treyarch's Black Ops games, so it's not a huge surprise to see a new version on the way in this year's Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.
Treyarch has been running the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Beta on consoles for a few days now, and they've now opened it up to PC players. Without really telling anyone. If you own a previous Call of Duty game - it isn't exactly clear which games count, but I own Advanced Warfare and I've been given access - check your Steam library, and you might find the Beta registered within. To be clear, you don't necessarily have to have pre-ordered Black Ops 3 to take part, although if you have done so that will definitely let you play.
Treyarch has put the spotlight on four more of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3's Specialists, and suggested two ways of setting each character up for combat. Prophet probably has the most interesting ability. He can skip back in time a few seconds if he runs into trouble, zooming backwards and potentially getting the jump on anyone trying to ambush him. He also carries a neat AOE electricity rifle, which will probably be very annoying.
With the upcoming Black Ops 3 Treyarch might be ditching the anonymous grunts of previous Call of Duty multiplayer modes in favour of distinct characters, but that won't signal the end of customisation. A new video from the team shows just how differently you can build two of the game's specialists, Ruin and Outrider.
PC owners of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will get their hands on its final DLC pack, Reckoning, on September 3, Activision has confirmed. The DLC adds four new maps, the return of the Exo Grapple playlist and Descent, the concluding episode of Exo Zombies mode.
The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 multiplayer beta lands on the PC in a couple of weeks, and developer Treyarch's detailed exactly what pre-order customers can expect. It will consist of three maps, seven game modes - Team Deathmatch, Deathmatch, Domination, Demolition, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, Capture the Flag, and Search and Destroy – as well as eight of the game's Specialists, unique characters packing their own unique weapons and abilities.
Reckoning, the final DLC pack for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is out today on consoles, with the PC version set to roll out in roughly a month. Publisher Activision has released a trailer for the final episode of spin-off mode Exo Zombies, Descent, which is included in the pack. Starring Jon Bernthal, John Malkovich, Bill Paxton, Rose McGowan and the mighty Bruce Campbell, the Zombies mode has gotten steadily more ridiculous over the last few episodes, and this one appears to take place in some kind of underwater palace.
The multiplayer Beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will kick off on the PS4 this August 19, before heading to the Xbox One and PC from August 26 through August 30. “During the beta,” Activision writes, “fans will have an opportunity to try the new momentum-based, chained movement system, find the perfect Specialist to fit their play style, get a feel for the new multiplayer maps, and more.”
Sledgehammer Games is releasing three new weapons for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, both of which have absolutely no place in a game about advanced warfare. Not that I would ever complain about a game adding a Blunderbuss. Yes, the archaic shotgun favoured by pirates and people who aren't very good shots is coming to the game's multiplayer, along with the Stg44, a German WW2 assault rifle that long-time fans of the franchise will be very familiar with, and an SVO sniper rifle.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is getting a 40's themed Zombies mode, complete with lashings of Jeff Goldblum (great casting there), but it's also getting a bonus level based on a classic map from the series. The Giant features a separate cast of heroes from the rest of the shooter's zombie-slaying levels, and is based on Der Riese, which was set in an abandoned Nazi weapons factory, and featured hellhounds, teleporters, and all sorts of other nonsense.
