Despite Kamiya's dislike for horror, he also added that "if Kojima doesn’t do it, maybe I’ll give it a go."

The P.T. demo for Hideo Kojima's canceled Silent Hills game has made its way to PC thanks to the efforts of one Artur Łączkowski.
Want to play the legendary PS4-exclusive Silent Hills P.T. demo on PC? Someone has made the whole thing in Unreal, and it's even playable in VR. Gulp.
Though some might say we pretty much got a finished version of P.T in the form of Resident Evil 7, it certainly feels like Capcom merely did what Konami refused to do. Played more like a short, horrific 'walking simulator', Hideo Kojima's Silent Hill prototype still feels like its shrouded in mystery, but PC players may get to experience it yet.
Developer Farhan Qureshi has released an updated version of PuniTy, his Unity engine recreation of Hideo Kojima's deeply creepy horror P.T. It adds controller support and fixes several lighting issues. Qureshi says that he plans to eventually add Oculus VR support as well, but he won't be adding any more game content beyond what's already included.
Allison Road, the horror game described by its creators as a spiritual successor to Hideo Kojima's deeply horrible (in a good way) P.T, now has its own crowd-funding campaign. Developer Lilith is asking for the very modest sum of £250,000, which I imagine they will scrape together without too much trouble, given the cult success of P.T.
P.T inspired horror game Allison Road is heading to Kickstarter, which is good news for those of you who enjoy being terrified to within an inch of their lives. Seriously, it looks incredibly traumatic. It's also possibly the closest we will ever get to experiencing Hideo Kojima's cancelled Silent Hills project.
Given that the game was only ever available on PS4, and that Konami has now scrubbed even that version, it's unlikely that PC players will have been able to sample Hideo Kojima's terrifying Silent Hills teaser P.T. Fortunately, for those of you who like scaring yourselves senseless, a recreation of the game has been created in the Unity 5 engine, and you can download it to try out now.
Sadly, thanks to Hideo Kojima and Konami's epic falling out, we'll never see what the Metal Gear creator would have done with the Silent Hill franchise. Even his masterpiece in viral horror, P.T has been removed from circulation. Fortunately, if you're a fan of mounting dread, the team at UK studio Lilith Ltd is creating a first-person horror game for the PC called Allison Road, which is heavily inspired by P.T. The studio's released the first gameplay trailer, and the whole thing looks absolutely horrible. In a really good way.
