Microsoft has recently posted a job opening for a Program Manager with their Halo Studio development team. The job posting gives hints at working on the next generation of software gaming technology and is clearly looking for someone that will “lead the development of the engine that will power future experiences for the next generation of gaming platforms.”
The job posting is a clear indication of where Microsoft is at in moving forward on its next iteration of the Xbox gaming system especially when they state “You will have the opportunity to collaborate with artists, designers, and other creative functions within MGS to ensure that we are building the best possible platform for content creators. You will also work to ensure we are building collaborative efforts with expertise available across the company, including the Xbox platform team and Microsoft Research.”
The Internet rumor mill expects that Halo 4 will be released on the new Xbox gaming system but there is no official announcement from Microsoft yet, though an article in a recent issue of the Official Xbox Magazine seems to imply that game developer Gearbox is working on Halo 4.
We will know more soon.
