The ”hard part” says Godfrey, is not to just cast the film as a beaten up world with ”people just in battle”. Better to show us okay, then not.
”The hard part”, Godfrey tells Making Of in an interview, is making Gears of War ”into something that doesn’t feel like a world torn asunder and people just in battle,” he explained, reports Kotaku. ”I think we really want to focus on the idea of a world that’s running well and then it’s Emergence Day.”
Underworld and Die Hard 4.0 director Len Wiseman is to helm ”those 48 hours” we get the crap kicked out of us, GOW style. ”Trying to tell the epic story of an alien planet that’s living in a horrific environment just feels like the wrong move right now,” he said.
Why not check out the interview with Wyck Godfrey by Making Of? Have you been to the pictures and watched Cloverfield, and more importantly, did you enjoy it?
