THQ posts $30.1m loss for Q1

Publisher THQ has frownie face syndrome after posting this Q1’s figures; a net loss of $30.1m. There was no ”comparable” Red Faction title.

UFC Undisputed 2010’s 2.7m sales just weren’t enough, short of UFC 09’s 2.9m. Net sales for Q1 were $149.4m, down from last year’s same period.

Net sales for Q1 last year were at $243.5m thanks to Red Faction: Guerrilla which gave us sandbox action on the planet Mars. The next Red Faction ditches the open-world scope of Guerrilla and revisits the franchises roots - eerie and narrow caverns.
