The issue surrounds ”all the exploits” users have slipped into their designs. This throws a big royal spanner in the cogs of backward compatibility.
”We may not get 100 percent backwards compatibility,” Alex Evans of Media Molecule told Edge in an interview, reports Gamerzines, “but I hope we do.”
“It’s a really hard job to QA it, with millions of levels to get through. We might not succeed in all the exploits people have used.” LittleBigPlanet 2 was announced last week with release expected this year exclusively on PlayStation 3.
Around 2 million user created levels will be approximately compatible with the sequel, or at least that’s what the teasing trailer suggests which you can check out below.
