The studio admits they of course have a ”little special place” in their hearts for Halo, but Halo: Reach is it for the ”foreseeable future”.
”You know, it might be premature to say we’ll never ever, ever make a Halo game again”, Brian Jarrard of Bungie told CVG. ”We sort of have a little special place for Halo in our hearts. But for the foreseeable future, this is it,” referring to Halo: Reach.
Does Bungie feel the pressure from fans as this could be their last Halo?
”There is a degree of pressure there but I also think that inspires our team. If we don’t ever come back to Halo again, we better damn well make sure that our last game is the best one ever.”
“Let’s set that bar really high and at least leave our fans something really special.”
Bungie hope that Halo 3 multiplayer veterans will enjoy crossing over to Reach and its many improvements, though they won’t be shutting down support for 3 online. What say you videogamer? Do you hope Bungie will come to their senses and return to Halo?
