Warner Interactive president Martin Tremblay revealed in an interview with the Los Angeles Times that an adaptation of Peter Jackson’s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be released in 2012. Tremblay also made passing reference to a LEGO Batman 2.
Guillermo del Toro had insisted earlier this year that there would be no Hobbit tie-in. “It’s too ambitious to try and tackle that along with The Hobbit,” he said at the time. “We have such tight release dates.”
As for LEGO Batman 2, aside from a mention from Tremblay, there was no other description because he stated he ”wasn’t at liberty to provide explicit details on the DC Comics game”. It’s likely, however, the game will somehow tie-in with the third Christopher Nolan Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises.
