Team17 and Expression Games have outlined the first post-launch roadmap for Hell Let Loose: Vietnam, with three major updates planned for the remainder of 2026.
The first of these updates, Update 1.5, will roll out in the coming weeks, with a September release window now shared by the developers. It’ll include the M14 rifle and Type 56 SKS Chinese rifle, along with the arrival of the Bell UH-1 Iroquois ‘Huey’ helicopter to the game, upping both the limited weapon and vehicle rosters.
Additionally, Vietnam War era-appropriate music is coming through radios to the game. “The Co-Pilot will have access to the helicopter radio, allowing them to play music for everyone onboard. But the music won’t be limited to those inside the helicopter. It will also broadcast from the Huey itself, meaning nearby players on the battlefield will be able to hear it as you fly overhead.”
Meanwhile, players who don’t want music playing during their battles and content creators worried about copyright strikes will be able to mute the songs.
Alongside the Battalions feature, vehicle skins, and ongoing optimisations and polish, as revealed by Hell Let Loose: Vietnam’s 2026 roadmap, Update 2.0 and 3.0 will introduce the following:
- Khe Sanh & Rung Sat maps
- US & NVA APCs
- L1A1 rifle, L16A1 mortar, F1 SMG, M14 scoped, MAT-49 SMG, Stoner 63 AR & SVD Dragunov rifle
- Player cosmetics for Deluxe Edition owners
“Throughout the remainder of 2026, into 2027 and beyond, we’ll continue listening to your feedback, addressing issues, improving performance and stability, and building upon the foundations of the game,” Expression Games added.
In our Hell Let Loose: Vietnam review, we called the military FPS “compelling and ruthless”, but were also worried about confused teammates and several technical annoyances hurting its appeal.
