Rainbow Six: Siege Gets A Second Season - More DLC

Despite the leaked - and later confirmed - Red Crow update being the final DLC for Rainbow Six: Siege, Ubisoft surprised the masses during a live stream event over the weekend by announcing support for the title would go on for another year. Likely down to their own efforts creating a game to capture the small-scale shooter playerbase, Rainbow Six: Siege has benefited from a success reminiscent to Counter Strike over the last year. With steady player numbers and continued buzz, it's not all that surprising to hear Ubisoft looking to hold the momentum.

Now gunning for a second season, there's no word on specifics just yet. With the announcement being tweeted out through the title's official account, the character limit presumably didn't lend to the idea of dishing out more information. Season 1 followed a pattern of a single new map and 2 new 'operators' in each of its 4 DLC packs. So whether we can expect to see the same pattern emerge with next year's schedule is yet to be disclosed. But we can guess that Season Pass likely doesn't stretch for a second term.
