Where it's usually the brazened, angry cop turning in his badge for a shot at private investigation, Cyanide Studios are giving that privilege to Edward Pierce; a war veteran working on a case related to the murder of Sarah Hawkins. Stepping onto Darkwater Island is asking for trouble. In the official video game adaption of Chaosium's pen and paper RPG, Call of Cthulhu, that's exactly what you'll get yourself into.

Questioning your own sanity after taking on the perplexing case, you're stripped out of 1920's Boston to investigate the murder of Sarah and her family. Darkwater Island is the root of your problems here, though, as illusion and reality begin to merge creating a world that could very well be all in your head.

Suggesting insanity brings out the truth in all of us, you'll go into this learning a lot about Lovecraft's Cthulhu mythos whether you plan to or not. There's enough harrowing material here to last you until Halloween; except we're not all to sure when it's due out. Arriving sometime in 2017, you'll be able to coerce Edward around the crazed island in due course and, hopefully, bring peace to Sarah, and yourself, in the process. Just don't stand in the Great Dreamer's wake for too long. Over-exposure to the mad king likely isn't good for the psyche.
