The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition Goes Gold - Unlock Times and System Specs Revealed

With just over a week to go until many revisit Skyrim for hundreds of hours, Bethesda has lifted the lid on when we can expect our copies of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition to unlock for our amusement. Though the official release lands on October 28, time zone differences mean those in North America will still be stuck in October 27 when the game launches 5PM Pacific (8pm Eastern).

For us Europeans we'll have to forfeit a good nights sleep either way with the title unlocking at 1am BST or 2am CET. Those in Australia or New Zealand will be either happy or sad to realize their copy will be good to go after a nice long day at work with Australia unlocking at 11am and New Zealand at 1pm local time. Unsure if you can even run the title this time around? Don't be! Due to it being a simple upgrade, the hardware requirements of the polished RPG are fairly relaxed - as seen below;
