If you're still looking to see how World of Warcraft used to play when people were a little more tolerant of grind-heavy MMOs, now's the time. Nostalrius has been rebirthed as Elysium. But who knows how long it'll last. Yearning for the days of old, fans often decide to take matters into their own hands; and they're doing it again. By reviving a private server reprimanded by Blizzard earlier this year.
Keen to hear the last past of the Nostalrius fight? It's been a year of deciet and emotion.
The year reached its close without Blizzard ever making contact with the team ever again. Certain they'd be used as a publicity stunt, most of the group moved to bring the project back by latching onto one that spawned soon after the closure of their own. Now, with the grand re-opening upon us, it's likely a time for Blizzard to be reassured yet again that their current approach is losing them the custom of long-term World of Warcraft fans who'd rather play the version they started with all those years ago. So if that's what you're looking for when it comes to finding another MMO to sink your time into, it's probably worth looking into giving Blizzard a peace of your mind. Maybe with enough support, they'll u-turn on their ideas that a legacy server just isn't possible on their end. Most don't buy the excuse.
