With Turbine Studios restructuring and pushing their high-value MMOs to Daybreak Games, it seems Daybreak themselves are looking to offload a little of their work. Landmark will be shutting down next month. Originally revealed as EverQuest Next: Landmark alongside the reinvention of the classic MMO, the voxel-based building application became its own standalone product when EverQuest Next was abruptly cancelled.

The company aimed to forge Landmark into its own flourishing project after seeing the hard work players had put into the title while they presumably awaited the release of EverQuest Next. There's no clear reason given as to their decision to shutter the servers next month, but while the game is still available to play until then, the purchase of Player Studio goods has already been postponed. Marketplace items, on the other hand, have all had their prices reduced to 1 DBC. You can read the full announcement over here and read the FAQ to be ensured that Daybreak Games will retain all the code - that means don't go expecting private servers to keep this one alive.
