With more explosions in a trailer than a Michael Bay movie, it's difficult to imagine who could be behind Spellgear. But whoever is in charge has decided to make it a Free-To-Play affair. Launching into Steam Early Access last August, Spellgear ranked favourably. Billed as a MOBA-styled MMO, it looks as if the pricing may have limited its reach with only 31 user reviews to date.

And this one doesn't just usher in the Free-To-Play revolution, but promises to reward those who shelled out for the game during beforehand. Seemingly going the route of some newer MOBA titles, the inclusion of a new Crafting system seems to indicate that cosmetic items will be the way forward when it comes to the team's ability to recoup the cost of development. There's bug fixes, major additions to the tactical abilities used in-game, global events and a Clan System to entice war among its players. The trailer may not do a good job of explaining how its combat system ties in with its open-world yet MOBA-styled map and PvP system, but now it doesn't hurt to try it out.
