Toward the turn of 2017's second half, Slitherine Games teased - and quickly confirmed - that they had been working on a rather important IP for the last year - Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock. But how much do we know about what's to come?
As another sci-fi classic with a relatively hidden audience, it's a series that was given plenty of love when it still held regular TV spots, but was eventually relegated once the showrunners pulled the plug. Through Battlestar Galactica Online is most certainly still a think, those looking for a more centralised experience have been left out in the cold - until now.
Gameplay
The Plot
Though based around the core concept of the original TV show, Battlestar Galactica; Deadlock takes place in a rather specific point of the first Cylon War - year 4. With the Cylon threat against the the Twelve Colonies reaching a stalemate. Taking control of fleets from the bridge of the Diadalos, you're tasked with bringing an end to the titular deadlock while uncovering the conspiracies wrapped around the lengthy conflict. While an original story set within a pre-existing plotline of the oriignal show, you'll come into contact with faces new and old. Viper squadrons and raptor scouts are under your authorty to gain an advantage in a decisive battle.
System Requirements
Any way you look at it, Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock isn't asking for much when it comes to system requirements. Not resting on the thoughts of multiple cores and/or threads, it doesn't ask for anything more than a CPU clock-speed of more than 2.5GHz and the highest. Of course, higher is always better; but so lock as you're rocking something above 2.0GHz, you should be good to go on that front. As for a GPU, you're looking at DX11 compatibility being the only real factor with the 2GB memory requirement being met by just about anything designed to tackle gaming in the last 5 years.
