The Fortnite: Battle Royale Fortnitemares Halloween Event Is Sticking Around For A While Longer Yet

Whether it's due to popular demands or the features it happened to bring with it, Fortnite: Battle Royale's Halloween even is sticking around a good few weeks. Originally teased, revealed and implemented pretty close to the cut-off time you'd expect for a Halloween event in a multiplayer video game, it happened to be both the game's first seasonal event, and the first time players could actively customize their once randomly assigned character.

Most of the bigger activities relate to the game's paid-for PvE counterpart, but the festivities certainly stretch to the far more popular Fortnite: Battle Royale mode. On top of a bunch of new costumes for your character, the Rocket Launcher in-game weapon gets a suitable skin, and even the Storm closing in around you will remain a spooky sight for that much longer.

Launched toward the end of October just a few days short of Halloween, the Fortnite: Battle Royale 'Fortnitemare' event has officially been extended to November 29. With it drawing to a close to late, and Christmas festivities typically starting long before the day itself, we could be looking at a smooth transition from one to the next.
