What do you do when you find it's World War II and the Third Reich is about to wrap its dirty claws around the whole of Europe? Assemble a goon squad and just let them go nuts. Welcome to RAID: World War II. In development with Starbreeze Studios and Lion Game Lion, it wouldn't be unwarranted to look at this like a time-hopped Payday title. That's not quite what it is, but it's pretty close in some regards.
Is Scarface Enough To Revive The Reputation Of Payday 2?
It's an impressive trailer no matter the connotation, but what it lacks in pure gameplay example is made up for in a series of screenshots toward the bottom of a webpage that still pipes in the game's OST before you've even loaded up the video. Your group of brutal bullies are sent out as a last resort to fight against the Nazis in ways a little different to those padding the frontlines. You'll intercept, infiltrate, sabotage and assassinate their forces from within their supposed safe havens and just generally cause a ruckus from the inside while the larger forces chip away on the battlefield. Despite the excitement that would come from what looks to be a Payday game set at a time when the whole world wants shooters to return to the second world war, RAID: World War II is without a solid release date just yet. But hopefully we can expect a 2017 release.
