Though Microsoft have been hard at work supporting their own Xbox Play Anywhere initiative over the last year, they've kicked off 2017 with the addition of a certain upcoming third-party game - Resident Evil 7. Joining the ranks of Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3, Capcom's super secretive horror title will be one of the first third-party entries in the Play Anywhere program.

But what does that mean? We'll tell you what it means! It's a program that aims to reward the most loyal fan of the Redmond giant. Should you own - and play - both a decently specced PC and an Xbox One console, buying certain titles digitally nets you access to both.
