Dead Rising 4 Escapes Its Captors To Release On Steam

Microsoft's attachment to the Windows 10 Store is looking more like a money-hungry investment every other day. Another exclusive title is breaking the hold of Redmond and heading onto Steam. Released just a few months ago now, it's already time for Dead Rising 4 to reject its Windows 10 Store exclusivity. Sure, anyone PC player who picked up the title through Microsoft's own marketplace may have earned themselves a somewhat handy Xbox One copy, but for those unwilling to play outside Steam - or unwilling to part ways with other versions of Windows - were once out of luck.

But now, any of those blood-hungry zombie slayers will be able to take another shot at controlling Frank West - the protagonist of the original, classic Dead Rising out into the killing fields with some much fancier toys. Set to release in just a few weeks time on March 14, here's a rough guideline of where your system should be in terms of computational horsepower to keep those zombies churning up into a nice meaty milkshake;

Pair that with around 50GB of HDD space and the solid requirement of still running a copy of Windows 10, and you'll be good to go. They're toting HDR Selfies in the Steam trailer, but there's not many true HDR monitors on the market, yet. It's a bad joke. Shame on you, Capcom.
