A Plague Tale: Innocence is an upcoming adventure title where players take control over a young woman and her brother as they make an attempt at crossing France in the 14th century. Focus Home Interactive have just released a whole 16 minutes of uncut gameplay showing how the game plays in practice.

Featuring the killing grounds of a massive clash between the French and the English, this latest gameplay trailer focuses on Amicia and Hugo sneaking through the rat-infested battlefield without getting devoured alive. They manage to do so by scavenging for items and using fire to their advantage. Being an adventure game, A Plague Tale: Innocence will seemingly direct its attention to delivering a high-quality cinematic experience with interesting characters, a rich historical background, and nary a hint of something more sinister prowling through the shadows. The gameplay mechanics will rely on players using their wit and contextual clues to figure out how to deal with the situation at hand. This includes but is not limited to finding ways to keep the protagonists enveloped in light, and creative dispatching of enemies.
