Following its 1.0 launch in late 2025 and the arrival of the first expansion DLC, Pioneers of Pagonia has dropped an eighth free update which allows players to customise more aspects of the colourful town-builder.
“With the eighth, free Quality of Life update, in addition to general improvements, the Pagonia Editor has been significantly expanded, allowing players to create their own in-game content across maps and adjust the balancing of units and buildings as they wish. This gives the community the opportunity to shape their experience on the picturesque islands of Pagonia exactly as they wish.”
The new changes and additions to the Pagonia Editor are exciting on their own, but they also directly address some of the more widespread complaints we’ve seen from players as the game evolved during early access and well past its 1.0 release. It’s a step in the right direction for sure, but it’ll be interesting to see how the community actually reacts over the next few weeks.
“Changes made in the Pagonia Editor can be saved either in the maps you create or directly in the game files. Changes to the game can therefore have a global effect, ensuring that the desired content shines on every map in Pioneers of Pagonia.”
This new quality-of-life update arrives alongside a refreshed roadmap for the rest of 2026, with the third quarter bringing us a new expansion-sized DLC: Echoes of Aldramar.
At the time of writing, Pioneers of Pagonia is only available on PC via Steam and GOG.
