Halo PC Is Coming... In Forza Horizon 4 Cross-over event

Forza Horizon 4 looks like it's going to be an amazing racer for those of us who enjoy the car collecting aspect of such games, but there's definitely going to be more to it than just that. For example, Microsoft are pretty eager to do a Halo crossover event.

The first thing you'll notice about this event is that it's pretty all-encompassing. Instead of there being an odd easter egg here or there, players will be just about plopped into a bizarro Halo universe, where racing Warthogs across an ancient British countryside is the most normal thing in the world.

Overhead, Pelican dropships and Covenant fighters swarm the skies, flying low and flying high, with huge capital ships hovering calmly amidst the clouds. Further out, though, is the centrepiece of the event: the Halo itself. It looks astonishing, in simple terms. Closer up, Cortana is yelling in your face, warning you to avoid the various Halo-themed objects strewn across the countryside - shields and crates and turrets and various other clutter. It all serves its purpose though, and the event feels like a properly interesting gameplay opportunity. Set to release on the 2nd of October, Forza Horizon 4's iteration of the Warthog is promised to be competitive even outside the event itself, should you want to take it for a whirl against the more contemporary vehicles.
