The Frostpunk 2: Breach of Trust DLC release date has been set, and it will bring fire to New Edinburgh later this month.
Breach of Trust features a new story exploring the fate of New Edinburgh, new scorching environmental hazards, unique communities and factions, new narrative events, and more.
The second expansion for the survival city-builder will launch June 23, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Frostpunk 2: Breach of Trust Heats Things Up
As the First Citizen, you’ll be subject to periodic Votes of Trust. But the toughest test arrives once Aurora - a nearby colony set on a frozen lake - proves to be the only possible safe haven for the city’s people. Then comes the choice: trust or force: unity or control.
An independent colony comes with the expansion, and players will be able to navigate relations with it through peaceful trade, forcible extortion, or total conquest.
The expansion also features five new communities and factions, lethal new environmental hazards such as Tremors and Volcano Nights (which sounds like a neon-soaked club to me), and two new scenario maps.
Like any good expansion, Breach of Trust looks to build upon everything interesting about Frostpunk 2, and add some refreshing new twists to the formula.
