Blacklight developer Zombie Studios closes its doors after 21 years in the industry

Formed way back in 1994, Zombie Studios has worked on over thirty titles, including Zork Nemesis, Blacklight: Retribution and Daylight. In today's climate that's would be an impressive run for any studio.

Unfortunately the developer today announced that it's closing its doors. The current owners are retiring from the industry, though several past employees will form a new studio called Builder Box in the aftermath of the closure.

Zombie Studios bringing Daylight to PS4, powered by Unreal Engine 4

Blacklight: Retribution developer Zombie Studios has announced their supernatural thriller Daylight will be coming to PlayStation 4, powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 4. It was already announced for PC.

Players must guide a woman through a derelict apartment building using her mobile phone's compass. The building layout is procedurally generated, meaning no one has the same content.

Blacklight: Retribution, Perfect World Entertainment's free-to-play first person shooter, has launched on Steam - as expected - and it will feature a Portal-themed weapon tag which will be given as a gift for anyone who reaches level 5.
