Super Street Fighter IV Summary
While Microsoft's Games for Windows Live client is in its death rows there are many futures left uncertain, like all those GFWL infested games still out there. What becomes of them once the beast is slain? A list has been compiled by Joystiq on what's happening with various titles by publishers and studios. The future is bright for some, not so blinding for others.
In a surprise move Capcom has announced they'll be "transitioning" from Games for Windows Live to Steam for the upcoming Ultra Street Fighter IV on PC. It's unclear how this will work exactly as it's DLC. Capcom are releasing it standalone, but could also patch GFWL out of Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition 2012. They intend for Ultra Street Fighter IV to release simultaneously.
Capcom has announced a new $15 USD downloadable content pack for Super Street Fighter IV that will add five fighters including Hugo, Poison, Rolento, Elena and an all-new, never-before-seen fighter.
PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive the opportunity to download and enjoy Super Street Fighter IV for free this week. Interesting puzzle title Rochard will also be available after the new update.
Capcom has confirmed Super Street Fighter IV's PC patch 1.07 is ready to go.
