The 7th Guest Summary
The 13th Doll, a fan-made homage towhich is set in the same universe as the cult FMV horror adventure, has reached its Kickstarter goal.
Which is pretty odd, because when Trilobite Games, the team behind the original game, tried aa couple of years back, they were unsuccessful.
Indie team Attic Door Productions has received a license to sell The 13th Doll, their fan-made homage to cult FMV adventure, set in the same universe as the original game.
“The 13th Doll is our passion project – a game that’s being made BY fans and FOR fans of The 7th Guest Series,” says project lead Ryan HoltKamp. “We’re extremely fortunate to be granted a license to sell the game as a retail game. It allows us to make the game we really want to make, to step up production budget and make a higher quality game for players to experience.”
Trilobyte has started a crowd-fund campaign for The 7th Guest 3: The Collector, which will bring the series into the modern age of gaming through touch-screens, mobile and high definition visuals of today's PCs.
The actual gameplay of The 7th Guest 3 will "fairly closely follow" that of The 7th Guest and 11th Hour. They also want full motion video with real actors, and real-time puzzles.
The classic puzzle adventure The 7th Guest, which was one of the premiere full-motion video games of its day, is now available on Steam.
Fifteen games have been greenlit for Steam, Valve has announced, and included among the games is Satellite Reign, a spiritual successor to the classic management RPG/strategy game Syndicate, a remake of the classic puzzle game The 7th Guest, and Nekro, a weird Dungeon Keeper-style game in which the player raises the dead for troops.
