Getting the reagents needed to upgrade your gear or craft new pieces in Dauntless requires targeting specific Behemoths. Some reagents, like the neutral skullgem only drops from specific Behemoth types.
Here’s what you need to know about how to get the neutral skullgem reagent from Behemoths in Dauntless.
Dauntless Neutral Skullgem
The trick to obtain the neutral skullgem is partly in the name. You’ll have to target Dauntless’ neutral Behemoths –the Gnasher, Quillshot and Shrike– during your hunts. While that sounds simple enough, flailing away at just any body part won’t get you the reagent.
The neutral skullgem is rather tricky to obtain because it not only requires breaking the head of these Behemoths, but doing so within the first two minutes of landing your first strike.
You’ll likely going to have to practice these fights a bit, to get used to each of the Behemoths’ move set and animations. Once you memorize their attacks and patterns, the neutral skullgem shouldn’t be that hard to obtain.
