Forza Horizon 6 is the most detailed the open-world driving series has ever been, but you might want your ride to look pristine at all times. Here’s how to turn off car damage in FH6.
Enabling and disabling car damage in Forza Horizon 6
By default, Forza Horizon 6 sets the Damage & Tyre Wear difficulty setting to Cosmetic, with the Simulation level enabling all sorts of debuffs and tangible damage to cars.
However, there’s also the None level, which just makes your cars immune to visual damage too. Feel free to crash through as many trees and objects as you want or even ram your ride into some rocks. It all will be fine and ready for a glowing screenshot in the game’s excellent photo mode.
As shown in the screenshot, you only need to head over to Settings, Difficulty, and select the third option from the bottom: Damage & Tyre Wear. The leftmost option is the one you want.
It must be noted this “difficulty” setting doesn’t affect the CR bonus shown on the right, so feel free to fully disable damage if you’re prioritising looks over realism.
There’s also the added bonus of not having cracked glass obstruct the first-person cockpit view, so it feels like a must when you’re looking for the immersion of “being” inside the car without sacrificing visual clarity and performance.
