The 1989 Nissan Silvia K is a great overall performer even if it doesn’t stand out on any particular front. Fow a starter car, however, it packs solid acceleration, speed, and braking. It’s easy to just jump into and race with. If your initial focus is on completing street races and regular road events, it’s the best pick, but it’ll struggle offroad.
1970 GMC Jimmy
The 1970 GMC Jimmy’s looks don’t betray its performance, which wows when you take it offroad and dive into the cross-country races. It’s rare to lose control of it while racing through mud and grass, and its weight keeps it steady. Of course, it’s weighed down by poorer top speed and manoeuvrability stats, so only choose it if you’d rather stay off the road during your early hours.

The 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 might be the prettiest out of the initial trio of cars, and its sports-y look is supported with top speed and acceleration as well as shockingly decent offroad performance. Just don’t take it to twisty circuits or drag racing, as it struggles big time with sharp turns.
What’s the best Forza Horizon 6 starter car?
Looking at the overall performance during FH6’s early stages, I’d argue the 1989 Nissan Silvia K’s is the top choice, with the 1970 GMC Jimmy a close second thanks to its easy-to-handle personality offroad. For a newcomer, the 1994 Toyota Celica GT-Four ST205 simply feels like too much of a focused pick early on.
Regardless, you’ll get access to all three cars from the get-go, and picking one of them only means they’ll be the vehicle you drive into the next “mission” with. After you get a small taste of freedom, you can swap back and forth and acquire new cars too. That said, you probably want your first post-prologue experience with Forza Horizon 6 to be a memorable and fun one, don’t you?
