GameWatcher looks into Hell Let Loose Vietnam Crossplay for the new spin on the revered war shooter series. Will players from PC and console get to unite on the battlefront?
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is the second entry in Expression Games and Team17’s multiplayer first-person shooter series, focused on large-scale, combined-arms warfare that leans heavily on realism. That made the first game a refreshing change of pace, sitting between military sim shooters like ARMA Reforger and more accessible fare such as Battlefield 6.
This time, as you may have guessed, the warfare moves on from World War II and heads to the controversial conflict in Vietnam that spanned from the 1950s to the 1970s.
That brings a very different landscape from Hell Let Loose’s European theater of war. The style of the first game will be dropped into mountain gorges and the thick foliage of the jungle when it releases on June 18, 2026, for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
So with the game so close and several platforms supported, is there Hell Let Loose Vietnam crossplay support?
Hell Let Loose Vietnam Crossplay Support Status
Out of the gate, yes, there will be Hell Let Loose Vietnam crossplay.
Expression Games has had a lot of feedback about Hell Let Loose Vietnam crossplay, with console players not entirely keen on mixing with PC players and vice versa.
So the developer has offered a compromise of sorts. As seen in a blog post about crossplay in Hell Let Loose Vietnam.
The way this will operate is that in-game servers will be clearly tagged as cross-platform play, PC only, or console only, allowing players to choose the experience that suits them.
Server owners will now also have the ability to enable cross-platform play and decide which platforms are allowed on their server. This provides greater control and flexibility, without forcing cross-platform play on all players.
So even if Hell Let Loose Vietnam crossplay sounds like something you’d rather not do, the option will be there to cut it out of your experience at launch.
