How to Get a Fishing Rod
You can get hold of a fishing rod on your second night in Moonlight Peaks. To find it, you need to head right from your farm to the bridge and then head through the archway to find a sandy shore where the warlock Noel will be hanging around.
Noel will invite you to a fishing challenge where you have to collect three different fish before him.
As long as you catch three fish on the night you activate this, you should easily complete this task. Once done, head on over to the Broken Lamp Inn and talk to Noel. Not only will you get to keep the rod, but you also get 250 coins for your trouble.
How to Fish
Fishing is similar to most life sim games that have it. One button press to cast your line, wait for a bite, and then reel it in.
You’ll see the outline of fish in bodies of water, which, rather obviously, indicates that’s a good spot to cast your line.
Try to hit the spot just near the fish rather than right on top of it, as that tends to scare them off temporarily. Either way, you can entice them onto the hook by reeling in slowly in their proximity.

Here are the base versions of the available fish in Moonlight Peaks. If you catch any with a higher star rating, the energy and coin values will increase.
Goldys can only be caught in Spring and Summer.
