Xbox fan "Nathaniel" had unfortunately suffered the Red Ring of Death much to his dismay, but to make matters even worse - his Xbox360 was covered in signatures by key Halo and Xbox team figures over the course of two years.
While having secured "reassurances" and even sending a separate letter detailing the critical desire not to have his unit defaced, his Xbox360 return fixed but deeply smudged. Bungie isn't going to stand idly by and have vowed a happy ending.
"Something is already 'afoot' within Bungie to help our community member in need," Bungie community director Brian Jarrard told Next-Gen on Monday. "Our team and the community as a whole is rallying to help fix this unfortunate situation. It’s been awesome to see such an outpouring of sympathy and support from our community. We can't replace the exact item that was lost but, but we should come very close."
With Bungie's status within the industry and their close ties with Microsoft Game Studios it's likely they won't be met with many difficulties in helping this avid fan. They've made no indication what their plans are and neither confirmed nor denied if Master Chief will be kicking some bureaucratic rear in retaliation.
"I think when it’s all said and done, justice will prevail," said Jarrard.
