Could Command and Conquer Generals Two be Forthcoming?

Speculation on a new Command and Conquer Generals title is rife on the Internet after it was revealed that the Command and Conquer: Red Alert 3 Premier Edition contained a beta test key for an unannounced upcoming RTS game from Electronic Arts.

The Premier Edition of the game also contains a video of the Battlecast Primetime series that has Mike Verdu, EA General Manager Los Angeles, telling viewers not to be surprised “to see another installment of Generals in the future.” Other than this cryptic comment EA has made no official statement regarding the use of the beta key or the future of the C&C Generals franchise.
