Unfortunately the wait to have those beans spilled is ”early next year”, and until then the developer is staying quiet on the ambitious projects says Turbine’s Jeff Steefel.
You might have noticed but there aren’t any MMO’s on the consoles which makes the announcement all the more interesting as Turbine could be the first to achieve the feat.
”We’re really not talking about what our console product plans are, but we will be soon,” replied LOTRO bossman Steefel when asked by VG247 if it will be going console.
”I would guess by early next year’s we’ll be able to be much more specific about what we’re doing with console, what kind of products we’re putting on console.”
All this talk of console MMO is still in the early stages Steefel reveals, frankly they need to work out exactly how all this could harmoniously work together; the hardware and the Internet.
”What we’re doing now is the early development work and the work with the hardware manufacturers to understand where they’re heading in the online space, where the connectivity between the console and internet is really headed.”
One thing is certain, it’s ”never been done before.”
