The developer has revealed the upcoming Riddick game will feature a deliciously cunning mode for online gamers; you’ll be plunged into darkness.
While one gamer gets to play as Riddick, who can see just fine in the dark, the rest are mercs who’ll only get flashlights to find and put the blade wielding Furion down.
There’ll be the standard style death match and capture the flag modes too but also included will be a Butcher Bay Riot thingy. The riot will be split into guards, mercenaries and prisoners as each set out to find a central power cell and activate it.
Pitch Black certainly seems to be the leader of the pack though as rank and file soldiers try to hunt the fast and ruthless Riddick in total darkness, save for a flashlight. The merc who kills Riddick will then be the one to wield the blades in the next round.
20 maps are reported to be making the final game which will be available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC early next year.
