While Epic Games Store sales don't usually have as many bells and whistles as Steam's, they compensate through discounted exclusives and coupon giveaways.
Epic Games Store sales tend to begin on Thursdays, usually giving players a few weeks to peruse and decide which discounted titles they want to grab.

Epic Games Store Spring Sale 2021
Active between: March 25 - April 8
The Epic Games Store Spring Sale 2021 is the first major opportunity of the year for players to grab discounted games. It kicked off as a traditional sale, including both smaller indie games like The Last Campfire and Spiritfarer, but also heavy hitters such as Hitman 3, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and Red Dead Redemption 2. This year, users won't be able to use leftover coupons.
Epic Games Store Mega Sale 2021
Expected to be active between: May 20 - June 17
Why have just one big sale every year when you can have more? That'll likely continue to be the reasoning behind the Epic Games Store Mega Sale 2021. If the past year is any proof, simply signing in awarded you a $10/€10 coupon which you could use on games that cost $14.99/€14.99 or above. Each time you used your coupon, you'd automatically get another and there should also be quite a few discounted games. Last year's sale kicked off with a mystery game – that turned out to be GTA 5 – being given away.
Epic Games Store Summer Sale 2021
Active between: July 22 - August 5
Another of the year's smaller sales, the Epic Games Store Summer Sale 2021 will probably not feature coupons of its own, but helps us survive the summer drought with some cheap games we might have missed out on. Discounts include strategy games Northgard and Spellforce III: Soul Harvest alongside The Banner Saga Trilogy and more.
Epic Games Store Halloween Sale 2021
Expected to be active between: October 18 - November 1
The Epic Games Store Halloween Sale 2021 usually makes the seasonal spooks more bearable by bringing down the prices of non-spooky games, too. Of course, if horror is what you're after, you should find some of that for a lower price than usual as well.
Epic Games Store Black Friday Sale 2021
Expected to be active between: November 25 - December 2
The Epic Games Store Black Friday Sale 2021 will likely challenge Steam's Autumn Sale with some discounts of its own. It runs for a week, so your better be quick.
Epic Games Store + The Game Awards Flash Sale 2021
Expected to be active in early or mid December
The Epic Games Store + The Game Awards Flash Sale 2020 was a bit of an outlier and, if it repeats in 2021, it will give gamers a final opportunity to grab discounted titles before the big December Holiday Sale wraps up the year. The games nominated for the award ceremony will be featured (and possibly discounted), but our crystal ball is having an identity crisis and believes itself to be a triangle, forbidding us from looking into it and finding out if The Last of Us II will win every award ever yet again.

Expected to be active between: December 16 - January 6, 2022
The Epic Games Store Holiday Sale 2021 kicked off in late December is Epic's response to Steam's Winter Sale, featuring the biggest discounts of the year and coupon giveaways that make games even cheaper. It's possible that you'll see some of the major releases of the year get a price drop, so it's definitely worth saving some money for this one.
