SOE Seattle's Matt Staroscik has revealed in an interview with TenTonHammer that The Agency MMO fair game to all levels providing you have the shooter skills.
Higher character levels means you can use better gear but a veteran of FPS will sweep the floor with n00bs and super spies alike as it's "still primarily a skill-based shooter".
"Your character builds up a Rank which roughly corresponds to the quality of outfits, gear and the role titles that you have access to. Rank is also the key to using better Operatives and, in general, accessing more of the game world (locations, contacts, and more)," explains game designer and lead writer Staroscik.
"Your base attributes won’t change much because we are still primarily a skill-based shooter and those power progression curves are very different than a standard online game. However, you’ll unlock access to new role titles which will provide you with new abilities."
The Agency is taking a rather unique approach on 'classes' as you can easily swap simply by changing outfit in the MMO. It also features NPC operatives that will work for you while on or offline helping to improve equipment or gather intel etc.
