It is a Wednesday tomorrow which of course means the release of an Xbox Live Arcade title. Infact this week Microsoft are kindly treating us to two in the form of ‘Brain Challenge’ and ‘Bliss Island’.
Brain Challenge is the first mind exercise game to become avaliable on the Xbox 360 and no doubt follows the success of such games on the Nintendo Wii. The game helps you develop abilities in five different areas including logic, maths (painful!), memory, visual thinking and concentration. Apparently it is ‘fun and easy’, however when it comes to maths we beg to differ!
A Daily Test Mode will enable you to undertake brain exercises while the Stress Mode tests your skill at staying calm under stress. On the flipside to relax you there is the Child Test and Creative Mode which allow you to explore and relax your mind and undertake more simple tasks aimed at children. Up to four of you can join in, both offline and online and detailed statistics and graphs chart your progress or downfall.
All yours for 800MP.
The second game, Bliss Island will set you back 400MP and see’s a strange blue creature called Hoshi the Zwooph (no connection with Yoshi, we don’t think!) emitting puffs of air which create some lovely fluffly clouds.
There are 25 different challenges on offer across nine levels which will test your skill and help Hoshi to become the Bliss Island champion. Online is included and there are leaderboards to show off to your mates.
Downloads are avaliable from 8.00am GMT on the Marketplace.
